Exemption from stamp duty for first-time home owners buying properties below RM500,000
KUALA LUMPUR (July 15): Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Friday announced a 100% stamp duty exemption for first-time home owners of properties priced at RM500,000 and below through the Malaysian Family Home Ownership Initiative (i-MILIKI). from 1 June 2022 to December 2023.
He said a 50% stamp duty exemption incentive, meanwhile, will be given for houses priced above RM500,000 to RM1 million.”
